It’s one of my favorite views on winter morning walks. This painting looks older than it is. I painted it over another painting and the thick white of the sky has cracks through it. In some places, mostly right around the edges, some surprising colors show through from underneath. As a painter, I enjoy it when a painting reveals the process in some places while maintaining illusion in others. There is one figure down by the river.
